I am running in the 2008 Election for Clark County Family Court Judge, Dept. I. Currently, I frequently have the honor of serving as an alternate judicial officer in Family Court. I handle the calendars when the regular appointed hearing masters are ill, when they are on vacation, at seminars or have conflicts.
I have worked as an Alternate Child Support Hearing Master for six (6) years. I am also an Alternate Domestic Violence Commissioner and an Alternate Guardianship Commissioner.
When a pro tem is needed, my name is at the top of the list because I am reliable and hardworking. I know the law and I can make a decision. Few objections are made to my reports and recommendations because I take the time to hear both sides of the story, explain the basis for my rulings and make a good record. I am proud of the work that I have done as a Hearing Master and everyone is given a “fair shake” when I sit on the bench.
In addition to working as a Hearing Master, I have, over the past seventeen (17) years, been in the trenches, representing a diverse clientele in the areas of divorce, adoption, child custody, juvenile dependency, guardianship and international child abduction.
